Ezekiel 22:30 says, "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none."

That is such a heart-stopping thought! If there is no one to stand in the gap, what will happen to this generation? Look around and you can see: drugs, alcohol, illicit sex, teenage pregnancy, hatred, rebellion, witchcraft, killings, runaways, self-mutilation, fear, anger, mistrust, no compassion, and so much more!

We, who are a part of His Church and this generation have a call to do more than just come to church on Wednesday nights to play and talk (although those are great things to do!). We are called to stand in the gap! That is why as a youth group we have chosen the motto, "I will build up our spiritual defenses and stand before God in the G.A.P on behalf of this generation!” May God Almighty never look for someone among us and not find ONE who will do this. We choose to be the ONE who will stand up and do our part for this generation!

We understand that in doing this MANY forces will push against us as we press forward in God, but in Christ we will remain strong and intact as we fully trust Him! That is why we have chosen as our theme song for 2009-2010 "Unbreakable" by Fireflight. God’s Holy Spirit in us will give us the strength to rise above the temptations, the tests, the anger from others and even our own hearts! In the power of Christ we ARE unbreakable!
